Remember there are two basic ways to use this site. First, it can be used to explore the study area and its habitat, and see where wolf observations have occurred over the course of the study. To use this map for this purpose, simply browse it using the zoom and scan buttons and other features. For instructions on most of the available features click here. The second way to use the map is to locate particular wolf observations, such as the most recent wolf observations on the map. This is what the Township, Range and Section selector allows you to do. Use this link to go directly to the searchable database that includes the most recent locations. You can use these locations (Township, Range, and Section numbers) to find the wolves on this map.
Select the Township Range and Section of the wolf observation of interest and click on the "GO" button. The map will zoom to the section (approximately on square mile) that you have selected if it falls within the extent of this map. If it is outside of the map extent, the original map will reappear. In this case, you may want to use the locator map which includes a larger area to try to find the observation.
